Illustration Work

These illustrations are not a part of my assigned projects in school but rather those I have decided to take up as a way to practice my creative and critical thinking outside of drawing cars.

MNL Character Design Contest

MNL Solutions provide scalable and sustainable EV charging solutions to support Singapore's clean energy future. Mun is a cyborg-inspired squirrel that embodies the values of preparation, resourcefulness, and playfulness. His name is derived directly from the company's initials, making him simple, memorable, and closely tied to the MNL brand.

The way squirrels leap effortlessly between branches is likened to the flow of electric currents through a network, creating a visual connection to energy and charging infrastructure. His jacket incorporates the leaf motif from MNL's logo, reinforcing the company's commitment to sustainability. As a mascot, Mun can also be seen as a representation of the people behind MNL, each contributing their own energy and expertise to power the company's success

OVOL Calendar Design Competition 2026

This illustration is titled "The Schrodinger's Cat is building a Dream". It explores an uncertain future through the concept of the Schrödinger’s cat trapped in a box and shows viewers what happens inside it. As I inch closer to graduation, I question who I will become and what I can achieve in this lifetime. The canvas represents the box containing my aspirations, and the objects that shape my identity, while the cat embodies the potential to bring them together. In this interpretation, opening the box will mean embracing uncertainty and is a reminder that discovering begins with having the courage to try.

OVOL Calendar Design Competition 2025

This illustration titled "What if We Lived Underwater?". It was inspired by the 14th SDG about Life Below Water and envisions underwater flats around Singapore, powered by water currents and designed to protect marine life by drawing on projects like artificial reefs. This illustration won third place in the 2025 OVOL Design Competition.
